This is where I'll put rules and information that doesn't really fit on any of the other pages. Let me

| Breathing |
This should be of primary concern to everyone who doesn't have inherent Life Support. SCUBA
gear takes the skill KS: SCUBA, a technological gadget pool or an appropriate Profession. The rules
on drowning in the main book will be used, but 'changing your speed' may be done anytime, is a full-Phase
action and requires an EGO roll to accomplish. |
| Perceptions |
Sight: Double all range mods and add in a -2 modifier unless you've got a mask or underwater-adapted vision system. In that case just add the -2 modifier.
Smell & Taste: Essentially useless unless you've got underwater-adapted senses. Life Support does not change your senses.
Hearing: Also essentially useless, but you still take damage from sonic-based attacks.
Touch: Works fine.
Special Senses: These will depend on both the sense and your special effect. |
| Movement |
Running, Gliding & Tunneling: Don't work.
Flight: Depends on the special effect, but it's either half power or useless.
Teleportation: Depends on the special effect.
Superleap: Useless unless your STR is 100 or more.
Swimming: Works fine. |
| Attacks |
OCV: Unless you've got 8" of working Flight or Swimming, you're at -3 OCV.
Energy Absorbtion: Any attack that water would get in the way of will acquire the
limitation 'Reduced by Range'. This includes fire, plasma, cold, electricity and indeed, most energy attacks.
Throwing things: Ever tried to throw things underwater? If you've got 100 STR or more
then the attack gains "Reduced by Range". Otherwise the object stops in the adjacent hex.
Knockback: Likewise, Knockback under 20" is immediately converted to damage on a 2" = 1d6 basis.
Explosions: Add "Extended blast radius -1 DC per inch".
Sonics: Add "Extended Range".
Electricity: Add "Explosion" and "No Range". "Personal Immunity" might be a good idea.

DCV: Unless you've got 8" or working Flight or Swimming, you're at -3 DCV.
Energy & Technological-based Powers: Probably won't work unless you've bought Life Support.
Dive for Cover: Doesn't work. |
